Tarot for All Seasons

Both pagans, non-pagans, and tarot readers of all levels of experience will benefit from the magic of tarot spreads in Tarot for All Seasons (ISBN 073870105X). The spreads follow the seasons, and each turn of the Wheel offers a unique spread for personal enlightenment and growth. Ms. Jette shows the reader how tarot, when used in ritual represents your intent. How does this work? The tarot helps you train and exercise your will. As you visualize and focus your energy while looking at the cards’ images, you send yourself down into the card to release specific energy into the Universe.

In Chapter One, ‘Merry Meet’, the author explains the suits, the numbers 1 through 10, and what the court cards do. Chapter Two introduces the reader to ritual components -- the tarot cards used, scents, magical teas, and candles. If you find a card is difficult to interpret, use the ‘Depth Reading.’ Lay the cards from left to right, and use three cards:

Illusion - hidden material, unconscious hopes or fears just beginning to surface,
Knowledge - what you really want and are aware of, and
Magic - conceivable outcome if you focus your will on the desire.

Keywords for both upright and reversed cards for the major and minor arcana are given in the appendix. The spreads are illustrated to represent their particular Sabbats or Esbats. I found the spreads in this book easy to understand and excellent for self-discovery and getting results.

Working with the tarot cards and doing the spreads in this book is a simple way to create a seasonal connection with the Earth’s cycles. You can randomly pick any spread and do it, but to really experience the profound impact of this book, I suggest that you do the spread for the season that is closest to the date you do the reading. Do the spreads in sequence following the cycles, and let the cards work their magic.Record your transformations in a journal just for these spreads and you will be amazed at the wealth of knowledge you have received.

Whether you use this book for a spell book or ritual guide, you will journey through spreads for the waxing, full and waning moons and the solar festivals. Each spread has a sample reading to help you work with seasonal energies all year to improve finances, career, health and relationships. If you will follow the path of the seasons of the year and do the spreads for each turn of the Wheel, you will find that your tarot abilities have tuned into the cycle of life and have taken on a whole new dimension.
