Intuitive Tarot TechniquesPick a card, any card and look at the card. Look for an implement of pain and suffering in that card. It may be a sword, dagger, knife, spade, any sharp or cutting edge, angry people, birds and especially birds of prey, or anything that suggests piercing the skin. These are symbols our subconscious mind uses for the World of Air. Secondly, look for any blunt instruments of death including a wand, rod, baton, staff, club, bullies or intimidating people, reptiles or anything that suggests bludgeoning something to death. These are symbols our subconscious mind uses for the World of Fire. Thirdly look for an implement of non-violence, an implement of peace in that card. Look for a container of some kind. This would include things like a cup, chalice, bowl, cauldron, casket, grave, river, lake, happy people or basin of some kind. These are symbols our subconscious mind uses for the World of Water. Fourthly, look for anything suggesting the world of material things different from the first three kinds of things already discussed. This includes things like a pentacle, coin, disc, rich people, mountain, crystal, gem, stone or rock. These are symbols our subconscious mind uses for the World of Earth. Finally, consider the Major Arcana of any Tarot deck as being representatives of the World of Spirit because they are set aside as such. All the symbols in these cards are accepted by our subconscious mind as being part of our personal spiritual journey and an indication of what is important for us on our spiritual path right now. These five worlds are the Worlds of the Elements. Our subconscious mind fully understands these five elements and the symbols attributed to them. It's part of the Universal Subconscious Mind into which we are all intrinsically connected. Tarot works because this is so, because our subconscious minds can connect with each other when we both want this to happen. This is the first of seven tools we use in the Intuitive Tarot Techniques to open our third eye and improve our intuitive mind, to increase the quantity and quality of our intuitive insights. We do that by defining what these symbols are going to mean to us. By defining the symbols we make an agreement with our subconscious mind to bring that symbol to our attention when we need to know that information. Here's how to define the Elements: First, decide what you want the symbols for the Element of Air to mean whenever they come up in a tarot reading. If you don't know what you want them to mean, I suggest you define them as thoughts and ideas when the card is upright and as attitudes when the card is inverted. This is only a suggestion, you may define the symbols for the Element of Air in any way you desire. Secondly, decide what you want the symbols for the Element of Fire to mean whenever they come up in a reading. f you don't know what you want them to mean, I suggest you define them as desires and passions when the card is upright and as intuitive insights when the card is inverted. This is only a suggestion, you may define the symbols for the Element of Fire in any way you desire. Thirdly, decide what you want the symbols for the Element of Water to mean whenever they come up in a reading. f you don't know what you want them to mean, I suggest you define them as relationships when the card is upright and as love or emotions when the card is inverted. This is only a suggestion, you may define the symbols for the Element of Water in any way you desire. Fourthly, decide what you want the symbols for the Element of Earth to mean whenever they come up in a reading. f you don't know what you want them to mean, I suggest you define them as financial affairs when the card is upright and as health issues when the card is inverted. This is only a suggestion, you may define the symbols for the Element of Earth in any way you desire. Lastly, decide what you want the symbols for the Element of Spirit to mean whenever they come up in a reading. f you don't know what you want them to mean, I suggest you define them as spiritual issues when the card is upright and as spiritual blocks when the card is inverted. This is only a suggestion, you may define the symbols for the Element of Spirit in any way you desire. Here's How to Do Some tarot Readings: Ask a question about your life or the things in you life. Start the question with one of these words: how, when, why, what. who, which or whose. Do your usual tarot reading but notice if anything on any card catches your attention. Make a note of the card, the thing that really caught your eye and classify it as an object of Air, Fire, Water, Earth or Spirit. Then using what you already know about the Elements, learn what it is you need to pay special attention to as regards your question. If you don't already know how to read tarot cards, use this practice as your introductory lesson and practice as much as you can and as often as you can.
